How Does Billing for SMS Blast Work?

SMS Blast uses a pay-per-use model. Each SMS Blast is charged separately when it is sent.

How is the cost calculated?

The cost of an SMS Blast depends on:

  • The number of recipients
  • The length of your message

Longer messages or certain special characters may increase the cost per recipient. While creating your SMS Blast, Rewards Club shows the cost per recipient and the total cost before you approve and send it.

When am I charged?

You are charged when the SMS Blast is sent.

The charge is made automatically to the payment method on file for your account in Stripe. You can review the total cost before approving the SMS Blast.

What happens if a message cannot be sent?

If an SMS cannot be sent to a recipient, for example because the phone number is unavailable, the corresponding amount is credited toward your next SMS Blast.

Any available credit is automatically applied and shown when you review the cost of your next SMS Blast.

You can review previous SMS Blast charges and credits under SMS Billing History on the SMS Blast page.
