How Does SMS Blast Work?
SMS Blast lets you send a promotional text message directly to your SMS subscribers. It is designed for flash sales, limited-time offers, special events, and other promotions where you want to reach customers quickly.
Unlike automated SMS messages sent by Rewards Club, an SMS Blast is created and sent by you when you want to run a promotion.
Create Your SMS Blast
Start by writing your SMS message. Rewards Club shows the message length and the current cost per recipient while you edit.
You can also preview the message and send a test SMS to your saved test phone number before sending it to customers.
Longer messages or certain special characters may increase the cost per recipient.
Select Your Recipients
Choose which SMS subscribers should receive the blast.
You can send to all SMS subscribers or exclude subscribers who were included in your previous SMS Blast. You can also limit the number of recipients.
If you limit the number, you can select subscribers randomly or give preference to customers who joined recently or longer ago.
Rewards Club shows the number of selected recipients before you continue.
Review and Approve the SMS Blast
Before the SMS Blast can be sent, Rewards Club shows the cost based on the message and selected recipients.
Review the message, recipients, and cost, then click Approve SMS Blast.
Approval acts as the final checkpoint before sending. If you go back and change the message or recipient selection, the approval is automatically reset and you will need to approve the SMS Blast again.

Send Now or Schedule
After approval, you can:
- Send Now — the SMS Blast will be sent within a few minutes.
- Schedule — choose a date and time for the SMS Blast to be sent automatically.
If an SMS Blast is scheduled, the scheduled date and time are shown on the SMS Blast page. You can reschedule or cancel it before it is sent.
SMS Blast History
Previously sent SMS Blasts appear under SMS Blast History.
Because SMS Blasts are processed automatically, there may be a short delay before a newly sent blast appears in the history. Use the Refresh button to check for the latest status.
A Few Things to Keep in Mind
SMS Blast is a pay-per-use feature. Each blast is charged separately when sent. The cost depends on the number of recipients and the message length.
Keep “Reply STOP to unsubscribe.” in every SMS Blast so customers can easily opt out of future SMS messages.
Before sending to customers, we recommend sending yourself a test SMS to check how the message appears on a phone.
