GDPR Compliance: How to Delete a Subscriber
Under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), every customer has the right to be forgotten.
This means subscribers may request that their personal data be deleted from Birthday Club.
There are two ways a deletion request may occur:
1. A Subscriber Contacts Riiwards Support
If a customer emails support@riiwards.com asking to have their data deleted:
- Riiwards will delete the subscriber from the Birthday Club database.
Important: If you use Wix, you as the merchant must also delete the subscriber from your Wix Contact List in your Wix Dashboard.
GDPR requires that data be removed from all systems where it is stored.
2. A Subscriber Contacts You Directly
If a customer asks you to delete their data:
- Log in to your Birthday Club Dashboard
- Find the customer in your Customer List, then contact support@riiwards.com to delete the subscriber
- If you use Wix, also delete the same contact from your Wix Contacts
This ensures full GDPR compliance across both systems.
