How Does Birthday Club Billing Work
1. The Birthday Club Plans at a Glance
Birthday Club is available in 3 plans:
- Starter — Kick off relationships with an automatic birthday reward (plus optional sign-up bonus). Fastest way to grow your list from website, QR/walk-ins, and social
- Marketing+ — Add monthly rewards, newsletters, and customer feedback/reviews to keep your customers engaged
- Loyalty+ — Visit-based (frequency) rewards so perks get better as customers return more often
As add-ons - per request - for each of the plans you can:
- Use our Smart SMS solution as a proven tool to accelerate customer sign-up and reward isage
- Import legacy customer lists while meeting data privacy and marketing regulations

2. Get Started with a Free Trial
Start with a 30-day free trial. Explore all features and—on request—we’ll set up Smart SMS for you.
Upgrade Starter, Marketing+, or Loyalty+ anytime during the trial (you can switch plans during the trial as well).
Please remember to upgrade within the trial period, otherwise your Birthday Club will be disabled afterwards.
3. The Pay-As-You Grow Solution
For your convenience Birthday Club comes with a month-to-month billing only:
- Month-to-month: no long-term commitment—cancel anytime.
- Your price depends on (a) the plan you pick and (b) the size of your verified subscriber list.
- 500 verified subscribers are included in every plan.
- As you grow, pricing increases in small 100-subscriber blocks—typically $1–$3 per block (varies by plan, see Birthday Club pricing).
- Verified subscribers = customers who have confirmed their email address. We only bill for verified subscribers.
Example
If you have 640 verified subscribers on your billing date, you’ll be billed for 700 (the next 100-subscriber block).
4. Your Billing Cycle
Your 30-day billing cycle begins the day you upgrade from trial to a paid plan.
- On each billing date, we calculate your charge based on your current count of verified subscribers.
- Automatic billing: charges run at month-end based on your saved payment method — no action needed.
5. Smart SMS Billing
Our Smart SMS solution has been created to get most of value out of SMS messages sent to your customers. That includes
(a) SMS messages sent as they sign up to your Birthday Club via SMS
(b) Sending of SMS reminders - if rewards are about to expire.

6. The Secure Billing & Wix Compliance
Birthday Club billing is processed through Stripe - a leading, secure, billing system used worldwide.
Note for Wix users: our billing solution complies with Wix policies and has been tested and approved by Wix.
7. Cancellations
- Default: Cancel immediately. Access ends right away and all emails stop.
- Optional: Cancel at period end. Your plan remains active until the current paid period ends (implementation pending)
- Widgets used for sign-up are disabled after cancellation.
- Data retention: We keep your data for 90 days in case you reactivate. After 90 days, accounts and data are permanently deleted (no additional notice).
- Refunds: If you cancel within the first 7 days of your first upgrade, you’re eligible for a full refund . Contact support@riiwards.com for a refund.

- Do we bill for unverified emails? No—only verified subscribers count toward billing.
- Can I switch plans later? Yes, you can upgrade/downgrade at any time; pricing adjusts on your next billing date.
- What if my subscriber count changes mid-cycle? Your billing date snapshot determines the charge for that cycle.
- How do I reactivate after cancel? Log in and choose a plan — your data is recoverable for 90 days after cancellation.
