Set Up Signup Reward Emails

1. Overview

A Signup Reward is a way to instantly gratify your customers for joining your Rewards Club.

For Signup 3 emails are required

(a) Signup reward

(b) Welcome - used when the signup reward is turned off

(c) Verification email

When customers join, the signup emails are sent:

  1. First, if a new customer joins, he/she receives a verification email to confirm his/her email address. Only if the email is confirmed, the next email will be sent.
  2. If the signup reward is turned off via the toggle switch on top, the Welcome email is sent instead,

Signup rewards are sent with a delay of a few hours. The reason for this is that customers are encourage to use it at their next visit. If Test Mode is on, emails are sent without delay.

2. Edit Reward and Emails

Editing the reward email is done in the left and the right panel.

In the left panel

  • the reward (e.g. a free item in combination with a purchase, a discount) are entered, as well as the expiration
  • You can optionally add a pomo code, which is used in POS or online store
  • Further you can adjust the colors for the reward box

In the right panel

  • Email subject
  • Banner image
  • Email text can be edited

The terms and conditions (small print) are set in the Rewards Options (see menu bar on the very left).


Use Preview and Send Test Email to check whether the email is ready. As soon as it is saved and the Signup Reward turned on, emails will go out when a customers joins.

3. Reward Usage

Depending on the Reward Options settings

  • the email may or may not have a Redeem button (option Enforce one-time use is turned on or off)
  • if one-time use is off, and customer feedback turn on "Please Rate Us" will be shown
  • if both are turned on customer feedback is collected when customers redeem their reward by touching the Redeem button on their mobile phones
  • if none is turned on, no button will be shown


The Reward Club solution checks whether the customer has opened the signup reward email. If not, and the customer has registered via SMS, an SMS reminder will be automatically sent to the customers several days before expiration.


To redeem customers visit and show the signup reward email. If it contains the Redeem button, they need to touch the button to redeem the reward.
